The Devil Bug has been conquered and the Meanderthal Travel Blog lives on! We are planning our summer and decided it was time to retire the Devil Bug and get back to life on the road again. YEAA!!!
The basic plan for this year is to move the rig to Mesa in early April, get the slide fixed and then head for Kingman to see our daughter Tracy and husband Ron. After that, it's on to Redlands, CA to visit my high school buddies Leonard Delaney and Barbi Payne. From there it's off to Monterey to visit daughter Yvonne and her guy Ken. Next stop is Angel's Camp to visit more high school friends Gerry and Carrie Nelson. Grandkids Scott & Tiffany and great grandson Ayden are next and then it on to Washington State, Montana, Yellowstone, South Dakota and who knows after that. It is just great to be thinking about this stuff again instead of worrying about medical issue outcomes. The only other significant change in our lifestyle is the status of our dog Cody. We realized during the Devil Bug episode that we needed less to deal with in our lives instead of more complications, so we were able to place Cody with a wonderful family in Chandler, AZ. They have a very large house and yard with three other spaniels for him to play with. We simply could not cope with the logistics of our limited space, medical issues and all that goes into properly caring for a very active dog.
That's it for now, more to follow as plans solidify. Thanks to all our family and friends for your care and concerns during this trying time.
