Devil Bugs Revisits

Hmmm, I guess we claimed victory a bit too soon. Monette has contracted another staph infection in the foot and was hospitalized for a couple of days for IV antibiotics. She is home now and recupperation is expected to be of short duration. The bacteria has not penetrated very deep into the tissue and did not do any damage since we caught it early. Whew! Speculation abounds as to where she caught this one but I suspect we will never really know for sure. Whether this is going to be a recurring nightmare or if it was an isolated incident is unclear. We will be speaking with the doctor on that subject next week. For now, all is under control and we expect to get her fitted with the new protective shoes next week.
