Greetings Family and Friends,
I am pleased to report that the surgery to correct the hammertoe situation has been completed and is "successful" according to the doc. He said the implants went fine and the toes are straight and true again which should help with finally closing this chapter in the Devil Bug Saga. She cannot have any weight bearing on the right foot for 4 weeks and after that it is just normal rehab to regain walking and balance skills. We see the doc on Monday for a Post Op follow-up and then every week for a check-up until the wound is healed. I will send progress reports as we go but it looks like life is returning to normal for us very soon. "On The Road Again" is our goal and late-August is our target for making that happen. Stay tuned !!!
