This project is ever growing in scope and cost. So much so you would think it was a government job! The water damage to the living room slide floor was extensive and we subsequently discovered that damage also affected the carpet covering it. Naturally that carpet is no longer available (which delighted Mo to no end since she hated it from the beginning) so the decision was made to re-carpet the entire living room, again much to Mo's delight. Now for some good / bad news in all this. Good; the cost of re-carpeting is much less by doing it now since all the stuff and the slide are out of the rig. Bad news is that our insurance company has done what all insurance companies do and spent their investgative time and effort in finding ways to deny our claim of water damage instead of honoring it. You would be amazed (or NOT) at their logic for this decision but it all comes down to policy weasel wording regarding what constitutes "normal maintenance". Many of you have probably been down this pothole infested road as well over the years.
The work continues and we HOPE the rig will be done by Friday the 21st. so we can return to Payson. Mo's foot is still a problem but that stubborn spot has now shown signs of starting to heal and close so we are very hopeful that will continue. Based on the above trailer horror story our summer travel plans are "on hold" for the moment as we reassess our resources for this year. Stay tuned!!
