Battlefields and Thunderstorms

Last evening we watched as this "Whirly" cloud passed by in full view from our trailer windows. We watched it develop, cross several miles of countryside and then slowly fade away. Whew, glad it was out on the prairie.
Memorial at "Last Stand Hill" - The markers are as accurately placed as possible to depict where the soldiers fell during the Battle of the Little Bighorn.

General George fell near the top of the hill

These markers can be found all over the memorial grounds. The hillsides are dotted with clusters of them showing where the soldiers fell during the multitude of battles that raged on that fateful day. There are markers for the Indian soldiers that fell also, but only about 40 of them were lost compared to the 275 in Custer's Cavalry. No doubt who had the best tactics and strategy in this contest.
